Through a Nashville talk radio show, District 12 board member Susan Curlee said she will resign from the Williamson School Board effective on Aug. 1.

According to an emailed press release given to the Home Page from Michael DelGiorno, he provided this information on behalf of Curlee. DelGirono has a show on WWTN on SuperTalk radio.

“While it has been an honor to serve our community, I will be resigning from the Williamson County School Board effective Aug. 1 for family and personal reasons. I sincerely thank the community and my family for their support. It has been an honor to serve the good people of Williamson County.”

Williamson County Schools administration said they hadn’t heard from Curlee, who also posted on the Westhaven/West Franklin Conservative Alliance FAcebook that she was resigning.

“Typically, a Board member would submit a letter of resignation to the Board Chairman,” WCS Carol Birdsong said. “In addition, they might also share the information with the superintendent. To my knowledge, at this time, neither has received a letter of resignation from Mrs. Curlee.”

The Home Page has reached out to Curlee for comment.
