On Sunday, Caroline Bryan, wife of country star Luke Bryan announced on Instagram the first Bike for Brett event, taking place October 28th in remembrance of her niece, Sadie Brett Boyer.
Joining forces with Steel Athletes, Bryan asks that you get out and bike during October as a celebration of Down Syndrome Awareness month to see how many miles you can log in October.
Bryan even asked riders to post their creative rides with the hashtag #bikeforbrett for a possibility to be selected as the “rider of the day.” Â Sunday afternoon Bryan reposted an Instagram saying, This is hilarious!!! Thank you @featherednestvb”
Steel Athletes posted on their Instagram that on October 28th, supporters of Bike for Brett will come together at CycleBar in Franklin for a ride together to raise money for Gigi’s Playhouse located in Franklin. In the coming days, there will be a website available where you can purchase one of the 48 bikes available for the ride or simply make a donation to Gigi’s Playhouse. And we hear that bikers will get a special message from Luke Bryan during the October 28th event.
Sadie Brett Boyer was born on July 8, 2016 and died on February 21, 2017 and was the daughter of Bo and Ellen Boyer, on Bryan’s wife Caroline’s side of the family.
