Summit’s Burdick Drafted by New York Mets

All of Burdick’s handwork has been paying off. The Slugger from Summit High School, spent last summer in Syracuse, New York at the East Coast Professional Showcase. A camp for only the country’s elite high school baseball players.

There he played for the Chicago Cubs’ team but apparently impressed the scouts of the New York organization.

The 6’0″ 175 pound righty, was picked in the 40th round of the MLB draft today.
