The Summit Spartans fell short to West Creek, after a hard fight.  Summit hosted its Homecoming last night against the Coyotes and lost 7-14 to bring its record to 1-3 for the season.

The Spartans had a 7-6 lead at halftime but couldn’t seem to get the ball into the end zone throughout the rest of the game.  West Creek recovered four fumbles from the Spartans to give the Coyotes the field advantage.

However, Summit’s Dee Hunter shined through.  Hunter had the lone touchdown for the night and rushed over one-hundred yards, totaling out at 138 yards.

The only win for the Spartans this year was over in the beginning of the season against Spring Hill.  They hope to change that up in the future to get a home-bound victory.

Summit will return to its home turf next week in hopes of taking the “W” against neighboring Williamson County School Centennial (2-2).
