The Spartans are hoping to tame the Coyotes this Friday.  Summit will take on West Creek at home this week as its fourth match-up of the season.

Summit fell to Independence last Friday 7-56.  The Spartans have earned a 1-2 record to start off the season and looking for the big “W” this week.

West Creek (1-2) lost to district rival Kenwood last week, 24-41.  The Coyotes finished its 2012 season off with a 0-10 record last year.  The Class AAA District 10 team hails from Clarksville, TN and is in the same district as schools like Rossview, Springfield, and Clarksville N.E.

This will be the first face off between the two teams.  Summit, Class AAA District 11, has a rocky schedule ahead.  Being in the same division with Williamson County top-tier schools, such as Ravenwood and Independence, the Spartans have their work cut out for them.

Suffering an unexpected fall to Page in week 2, the Spartans will be looking to reignite that burning flame.

Summit has district rival Centennial to look forward to in week 5.  Centennial, winning its first game of the season against Brentwood last week, is 1-2 for 2013 thus far.  This gives the Spartans an upper hand to work hard and achieve a win for this even match-up.

The Spartans are making their way from Class AA District 12 last year.  This combination of teams is entirely brand new to Summit.  Finishing off the season 3-7 last year, Summit is not caving into the new competition, but embracing it with open arms.

This will be the first time that the Spartans will take on West Creek in school history.
