The Athletics Division of Williamson County Parks and Recreation announces a beginner level fencing clinic for coed youth ages 7 to 17. Registration is now open and continues through May 6 or until full. The clinic will be held May 7 through June 6, 2019 and will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:15 – 8:15 p.m. at the Indoor Arena at Crockett Park, 1485 Volunteer Pkwy., in Brentwood. The cost is $125 (includes equipment rental for level 1 and 2). Registration code #14172.
Fencing is a modern day equivalent of a sword fight and is one of the fastest growing sports in the county. Clinic participants will learn the rules of the sport, basic footwork and posture, as well as the rules of the sport, scoring, weaponry and safety rules.
