Studio Tenn is reaching one of its biggest milestones to date by announcing its 2019/2020 season and marking the companies 10th year of bringing endless entertainment to audiences across Middle Tennessee! Celebrating its 10th season of theatre excellence, the Studio Tenn 19/20 season honors female artists and entertainers who have shaped today’s industry.
A season line-up of Broadway’s biggest hits and more, the 2019-2020 titles and dates are as follows:
- Mamma Mia, August 16 – September 8: Music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus; book by Catherine Johnson; originally conceived by Judy Crayer
- Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, December 6 – 29: Music by Richard Rodgers; lyrics and original book by Oscar Hammerstein II; new book by Douglas Carter Beane
- Steel Magnolias, February 7 – 16: by Robert Harling
- Studio Tenn Legacy Series, March 26 – 29
- 9 to 5: The Musical, May 8 – 25:music and lyrics by Dolly Parton; book by Patricia Resnick; originally produced by Robert Greenblatt
Performances in the 2019-2020 season will be held at Jamison Theater and the historic Franklin Theater.Ticket prices at Jamison Theatre range from $35 – $90, with a 15% discount on any four-show package and 20% discount on a five-show package.
