Studies Say Williamson County Residents Are Healthier Than Most of the Country

Several statistics show that residents of Williamson County enjoy better health than most of the country.

If you live in the county, you have better health and better access to health care and doctors than even the top ten percent of the U.S.A.

You have fewer poor health days per month, and one of the lowest national probability of being in poor health.

According to a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation study:

As for access to health care:Screenshot from 2016-05-11 16:32:57

Another marker of access is the ratio between patients and doctors. There is one primary care doctor for every 699 residents of the county. This compares well to other, similar metropolitan areas.

In Fairfax, Virginia it is 1 for every 996. In Austin, Texas it is 839 to 1; in Philadelphia it is 759 to 1; and in Raleigh, North Carolina it is 769 to 1.
