On 2/5/18 at 12:35 pm the SHPD was dispatched to Food Lion on Main St in reference to a suspicious person/vehicle. The officer spotted the vehicle in Food Lion’s parking lot.
When the driver saw the officer, the vehicle fled. The officer learned that the vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle refused to stop after the officer attempted a traffic stop. The pursuit headed out Beechcroft Rd. where the officer terminated the pursuit.
The Maury County Sheriff’s Department picked up the pursuit and the vehicle stopped on Gravel Hill Rd where all occupants fled on foot. Our units, as well as other agencies, are looking for the occupants in that area. The driver is a black male who was wearing an orange hoodie and blue jeans.
Update: All units from all departments have cleared the scene from Gravel Hill Rd. The 2 occupants from the vehicle were NOT located.
