Stay Active This Winter With Indoor Soccer Leagues & Pickleball Clinics

Williamson County Parks and Rec is helping you stay active this winter with the opportunity to join a co-ed indoor soccer league or participate in a pickleball clinic.

Co-ed Indoor Soccer League

The Athletics Division of the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is now registering for a Winter Co-ed Indoor Soccer League at the Indoor Arena at Crockett Park, 1485 Volunteer Parkway, Brentwood.

League play will be on Wednesday nights, January 9 – March 6. The team registration fee is $465. A maximum of 10 teams will be accepted. Pickleball Clinics

Registration is open for Winter Pickleball Clinics in December, January and February at the Academy Park Gymnasium, located at 120 Everbright Ave., Franklin, and January clinics at the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr., Spring Hill, TN. These clinics will be for beginner through advanced level players and taught by experienced pickleball instructors.

Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. It is estimated that two million Americans play the game, and its popularity is growing, especially among seniors. Two-thirds of all pickleball players are over the age of 60, and it is a popular event with local seniors as well as with participants in the Tennessee Senior Olympics.
