Brentwood Fire & Rescue Crews responded to a structure fire Sunday August 11, 2018 on Medalist Court in the Governors Club.  Crews received the call shortly before 1:00 a.m.   The first engine company arrived just six minutes later and nearly 30 firefighters responded.  The first officer on scene reported a well involved structure with heavy smoke and flames.

Brentwood Fire Chief Brian Goss said, “Fire units set up a defensive attack and fought the fire well into the daylight hours on Sunday.”  The homeowners were out of town at the time of the fire.  No injuries were reported to either occupants or firefighters.   Brentwood Fire personnel remained on scene Monday morning assisting investigators from the State Fire Marshal’s Office and putting out spot fires.  The cause of the fire has not been determined yet.

Brentwood Fire and Rescue, reminds you to please test your smoke detectors monthly and replace the batteries when you change your clocks.
