Starbucks

Starbucks, located at 438 Main Street in downtown Franklin, will be closing on Sunday, July 10.

Don’t panic yet; the store will only be closing for 10 days to undergo a renovation. On July, 20, Starbucks will be holding a Grand Reopening.

The Five Points Starbucks location opened in 2001 in historic downtown Franklin and although it has been renovated since its initial opening, this renovation will provide expanded seating complete with new furniture.

In addition to the new seating options, this location will also receive new equipment. By upgrading the equipment, they will now be able to offer the  reserve coffee with the installation of the Clover machine.

Currently, The  Clover system is not available at the Five Points location. Per the Starbucks website, it describes The Clover  brewing system as a  “rare leap forward in coffee brewing technology that lets us craft a single cup of perfectly brewed coffee with exquisite balance, depth of flavor, and aroma. Innovative Vacuum-Pressâ„¢ technology and precise control over water temperature and brew time work in conjunction to ensure we can extract the best flavor from the coffee.”

With The Clover system, Starbucks pairs its Reserve Coffees which are only produced in small batches.

On July 12, Starbucks is planning a price increase on select beverages. The increase will be from 5 – 30 cents per beverage. The last price increase occurred July of 2015, in which prices increased from 5-20 cents on primarily hot beverages.
