The Walnut Street Skate Park will become a reality and the city has put out a request for bids on the construction project. Franklin Skate Shop Owner, Donny Myhre, is the design talent behind the project and was hired by the city to make sure it is done right and used by local skate enthusiasts.
The city has recently purchased new cars and trucks for various departments to offer continued quality service. The Theater in The Crossings is under development and the big topic is the added traffic. The 12 screen complex has not yet announced a ground breaking. The city planning commission has also discussed a site plan for 8 commercial lots on the acreage to the South of The Crossings. The idea is development for retail and restaurant use. Expanding the roadway is also under discussion.
The water in Spring Hill is rated among the best in two states according to the American Water Works Association. At the KY/TN Water Professionals Conference, the city was awarded one of five awards and acclaimed an outstanding water treatment plant in the medium category.
