Spring Hill lost 20-17 to Maplewood on Friday, but that may not be the Raiders biggest concern following Friday night’s game.

Superstar running back Dontae Smith did not play in the second half with an ankle issue. There’s no word on the severity of the injury.

Smith, a Georgia Tech commitment, entered Friday night having rushed 105 times for 1,209 yards. He’d accounted for 16 touchdowns this season.

Spring Hill took a early 3-0 lead on Brenton Basnaw’s 23-yard field goal with 8:01 left in the first quarter.

A T.J. Ennis 1-yard touchdown run with 4:15 left in the first quarter made the lead 10-0.

Both teams are now 4-3.

Spring Hill is off next week.
