A Spring Hill teenager died after falling off a car on Sunday evening on Dryden Drive.

According the Spring Hill Police Department, two juveniles were riding on the back of the vehicle when they fell off. A third teen, who police have not identified, was driving.

At 5:22 p.m. Spring Hill Emergency Communications received a 911 phone call, and responded to find both injured.

15-year-old Max Hollis a sophomore at Summit High School, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical Condition. He later died from his injuries.

The other teen who fell, still unidentified, received brush burns.

Police say they are investigating the details of the incident and have filed no charges against the driver. They also say they have not determined how fast the car was going when the teens fell.

This was an unfortunate incident based on decisions by teenagers, police said.

This is a developing story. We will update as more information is known.
