Shawn Phelps remains jailed today after punching his ex-girlfriend in the face yesterday morning. The victim was driving Phelps, a convicted felon, to see his probation officer when Phelps hit her in the face with a closed fist, and then got out of the car. Arriving officers located Phelps on foot near Murfreesboro Road and Ralston Lane, and arrested him.
Phelps, charged with Domestic Assault, is being held on the $5,000 bond set by the Magistrate. He is due in court 08/10/2017 at 1:00 pm.
