Allendale Elementary
Second graders at Allendale are excited to be learning about the three types of matter: solids, liquids and gases. We’re engaging and challenging them by conducting a variety of experiments in class. Recently, second graders formed a hypothesis to guess the fastest way to dissolve an ice cube. Students discovered that when heat is applied, the ice melts faster! Additional experiments include “mixing and separating solids” and “gas in a bag.”
