Waste Management (WM) will implement a 2 percent (21-cent) rate increase for Spring Hill residential garbage collection customers, and a 2 percent (8-cent) increase for recycling collection, per WM’s service contract with the City of Spring Hill. The contract allows for a standard rate adjustment based on the annual Consumer Price Index.
The total sanitation rate increase, from $14 to $14.29 per month, became effective April 1 and will show up on your next utility bill, which will be mailed April 30. Commercial sanitation rates also will increase, under the contract.
Also effective in the May billing cycle will be Williamson County’s sales tax increase from 9.25 to 9.75 percent, which took effect April 1.
