After a water main break Wednesday evening, the City of Spring Hill is asking residents to conserve water.

Around 5pm Wednesday, the City announced a break in a main raw water supply line from the Duck River to the Spring Hill Water Treatment Plant. The water plant was temporarily shut down while the water main was repaired. Around 9pm, water service was fully restored. Even though the break has been repaired, the City is asking the public to continue limited water usage when possible over the next 48 hours in order to help restore water storage capacity.

Limiting water usage primarily refers to usage outside the home, such as lawn irrigation, washing vehicles or filling a swimming pool.
