Spring Hill Elementary School principal Sharon Cantrell was one of two killed in a shooting in Columbia on Saturday as identified by Columbia Police. The other victim has been identified as Cantrell’s brother, Don Caulk, 63.
Cantrell, 67, had been principal of the Spring Hill Elementary School for six years. She also had been a Spring Hill Alderman for Ward 3. Grief counselors will be available at the school on Tuesday for faculty and students.
Spring Hill Elementary is inviting the community to a 7:00 p.m. Monday night candlelight vigil that will be held at Spring Hill Elementary in the memory of Cantrell.
