Dara Sanders, Spring Hill planning director and principal author of the city’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update, announced her resignation this week.
Sanders has been the director of planning for Spring Hill since August, 2014. While in her role, she made several key contributions to the city’s future plans:
- Principal author of Spring Hill Rising: 2040 (Comprehensive Plan Update)
- Principal author of Spring Hill’s development review process
- Advisory role in Spring Hill’s Bicycle and Greenway Plan, Major Thoroughfare Plan, Crossing Circle
- Transportation Study, and Buckner Road Transportation Study
She is leaving for another job in Middle Tennessee, but further details of her departure and the exact job are not yet known.
Prior to working for Spring Hill, Sanders worked for two and a half years as a senior planner for Shreveport-Caddo Metropolitan Planning Commission.
