nashvilleMrs. Burns’ third block Creative Writing class recently went on a field trip to the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. While there the students toured the museum, and also learned about the origins of country music.

Prior to the trip each student was instructed to compose the lyrics to an original song that they wrote. Every student’s song was sent to a song writer at the Hall of Fame. The song writer picked five of the songs, and put them to music. The following students had their songs chosen to be performed: Justin Berryhill, Garrett Johnson, Taylor Pray, Ally Riopelle, and Katherine Ross. Ally’s song was also chosen to be on permanent display in the Words and Music section of the Hall of Fame.
