Spring Hill allowed 21 first-quarter points and never recovered in a 27-7 home loss to Giles County on Oct. 18.

The Raiders outrushed the visiting Bobcats 153 yards to 115, but it was in the passing game that Giles County was able to exert its will over Spring Hill. Quarterback Trevor Holder was 10-for-15 for 195 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.

Spring Hill quarterback Tylin Oden prevented the shutout with a 2-yard run in the third quarter, the final score for either team.

The Raiders fall to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in District 12-AA. Spring Hill will travel to Columbia Central Friday before hosting Page for their final game of the year on Nov. 1.
