Spring Hill Gets in the Spirit of Goodwill at the Giving Fest

Holiday Header

The 2nd Annual Spirit of Goodwill Giving Fest is set on Saturday, December 7th from noon to 4 p.m. at Harvey Park (4001 Miles Johnson Parkway  in Spring Hill) to bring lots of holiday cheer and joy to the community!
The event will be held in conjunction with the City’s 6th Annual Christmas Parade, set to start at 5 p.m.

Organized by Spring Hill FRESH and the City of Spring Hill Parks and Recreation, the main goal for the Giving Fest is to serve as a means for the community and area students to participate in meaningful giving to local needy families for the holidays through donations of food that will be collected for The Well Food Pantry for the Spring Hill Police Department ‘Giving Tree’ program. The Giving Fest will serve as the drop off point for the gifts for the program.

The ‘Giving Tree’ program provides children in the area with the specific gift that child has asked to receive for Christmas, as well as needed clothing and shoes. All participating children in the program are students of the area schools so your donation stays within the community! Click HERE to select gifts to participate in the wonderful program!

There will be many family fun activities to make holiday memories, such as the ‘Official Santa Mailbox’ from the North Pole. The Spring Hill Police Department will escort the letters to an awaiting ‘Express Train’ that will take the letters to Santa and his elves! Christmas carols will be led by Heritage Elementary, Heritage Middle, and Allendale Elementary School choirs to spread the Christmas-cheer! Not to forget, the famous local Magician Magic Wayne will be performing his exciting show and tricks for the kids, as well!

Speaking of jolly ole Saint Nick, Santa himself will be making an appearance to the Giving Fest and the parade!

Enjoy fun craft activities for kids, bouncy houses by Jump for Joy Inflatable’s, free hot cocoa, sponsored by Kroger Marketplace of Thompson’s Station, and a free hot popcorn station sponsored by Southern Electric!

Holiday face painting, sponsored by Farrow Pediatric Dentistry, will be a fun event for kids of all ages! Food Trucks and Domino’s Pizza will be available for purchase as well so that you can enjoy lunch or dinner right there from the parade!

There are also more ways to give than just coming to the Christmas Parade! You can sponsor items for a Christmas Food Basket! For more information on this and a list of food items, click HERE.

This incredible event will run rain or shine! Mark it on your calendars for the holiday season!
