Enforcement of paper grass clipping bags begins this week

grassClippingsStarting Wednesday, July 1, the Spring Hill Public Works Department began fully enforcing a longstanding requirement that all bagged grass clippings must be placed at the curb in paper bags weighing under 40 pounds each. The City will no longer pick up grass clippings and leaves in plastic bags. Paper bags are required because they are biodegradable and will break down properly in the landfill. These bags can be purchased at most home improvement stores.

Buckner Road being paved this week; expect delays

paverTues., June 30 – Fri., July 3, the City of Spring Hill will repave the section of Buckner Road from the Newport Crossing subdivision to the intersection of Buckner Lane. Expect intermittent delays and occasional flagging while repairs are being made.
