The start of school is just around the corner and, for many, the beginning of school means the beginning of sports practices, games, and more.
Just in time, Sporti Pediatrics, Sports & Dance Medicine in Cool Springs will host Game Day Nutrition with Dr. Leon Scott and Nutrisha on August 12th from 6p-7:30p.
This is the second in a series of Pediatric Sports Nutrition programs for parents and young athletes. This class will include, nutrition fundamentals through demonstration, examples of athletic meal/hydration structure (pre-game, during the game and post-game recovery), and so much more.
Attendees will enjoy a cooking demonstration and dinner before learning about nutrition and hydration for ‘A Day in the Life of a Young Athlete.’ Before the end of the night, attendees will get to put their new skills to use by preparing snacks to take home.
“We want to specifically address the questions parents ask me about what to eat on game day or in a tournament weekend.” said Dr. Scott. “We had an awesome food event last time and I want to focus on athlete recovery and hydration.”
The event will take place at Sporti, located at 125 Cool Springs Blvd, #11o. Tickets are early priced before August 1 at $35 per person. From August 1-12 seats will be $45. Call Sporti at (615) 472-1711 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
