Spend Your Day at this Instagram Famous Park

Located just outside of Brentwood, Radnor Lake is a hidden treasure that will make you feel as if you have traveled to a far away place. Amazingly, this park  hosted between 850,000-1 million visitors last year and it is literally in our backyard.

Taylor Swift  even gave Radnor Lake a shout out when she posed for a picture with a fellow fan and hiker and posted it on Instagram.Taylor Swift

When attending Radnor Lake, you can enjoy the six miles of hikes, but there is no jogging, biking, or pets allowed on the trails. In addition to  hiking, Radnor Lake offers  educational programs and volunteer opportunities.

Recently, employees from CMT & Viacom Global Services offices spent their annual company-wide day of service (Viacommunity Day) volunteering at Radnor Lake State Natural Area.

Despite rain and impending storms, the volunteers worked with park rangers to haul 60 bales of pine straw and construction lumber an materials 1/4 mile down the trail in the rain.  Instead of calling it a day, these volunteers asked for another project and assisted the park staff with a delivery of 40 new chairs purchased for the Audio Visual Room at Radnor Lake.

Katelin summed it up best after our work day “It was a wonderful day at Radnor Lake! We were glad to support the rangers and conservationists working to preserve this beautiful place. CMT and Viacom employees are definitely looking forward to volunteering at Radnor Lake again,” Katelin Ford, who helped coordinate the volunteer day, wrote.

Radnor Lake is located at 1180 Otter Creek Road,Nashville. Visit the Radnor Lake Facebook page for the latest park offerings and information.
