Margie Thessin and the Franklin on Foot Tours are offering up their Southern-style food tour again this Saturday. Six Franklin eateries are on the schedule spanning five blocks of historic Franklin. Take a leisurely stroll, enjoy some of the finest southern fare available and learn a little about its history.

Franklin on Foot Food Tours

The tour began this year and has been a huge success. Tickets are only $45 and groups of 6-20 people will explore the city and its culinary delights. The tour starts at 2 P.M. at Chapman’s Pie Wagon II by Landmark Booksellers on Main and ends at 5. Snow crab salad, gumbo, catfish and fried green tomatoes are on the menu so don’t miss out on this afternoon of fun.

Participating merchants for this tour are Chapman’s Pie Wagon II, Franklin Mercantile Deli, Merridee’s Breadbasket, Puckett’s Boat House, Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant, and Papa Boudreaux’s Cajun Café.
