Southern Living Selects Local Chocolate Company as 2016 Food Award Winner

Olive and Sinclair

Southern Living just released their 2016 Food Award Winners. The editors of Southern Living have traveled from Atlanta to Austin, “sipping and sampling hundreds of artisan-made products.” Included on this list are selections from ice cream, spreads, dips, condiments, beer, spirits and mixers and, of course, best confection where Olive & Sinclair made the list for their Smoked Nib Brittle.

Olive & Sinclair is Tennessee’s 1st & only bean-to-bar chocolate company. Slow Roasted & Stone Ground, O&S was founded in 2007 and full sales and production of Southern Artisan Chocolateâ„¢ began in fall of 2009. Olive & Sinclair takes pride in their take on bean-to-bar chocolate known as Southern Artisan Chocolateâ„¢. This concept began with idea of stone grinding chocolate, inspired by the method used for stone ground grits, using melangeurs (stone mills) from the early 1900’s and adding only pure cane brown sugar for a robust flavor and slow sweetness that is definitive of Southern Artisan Chocolateâ„¢.
