Sounds of the Fair: 5 Performances to See This Year

In the spirit of keeping up with Middle Tennessee’s reputation for exceptional musical talent, the Williamson County Fair has put together an all-star lineup of performances that are sure to knock your socks off!

Pelican 212
Friday, August 5 at 8:00 p.m. (Vanderbilt Health Main Stage)
This nationally recognized, 7-member family band will kick off the Williamson County Fair with their upbeat cajun soul tunes. Led by 11-year-old trumpet superstars (and identical twins) Max and Kolbe, Pelican 212 brings fun family entertainment to fans across America. The band has appeared on Steve Harvey’s Little Big Shots and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The children are largely self-taught musicians, learning from their dad, big sister Katie and YouTube.

Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artists
Monday, August 8 at 8:00 p.m. (Arena Floor)
Always a crowd favorite, the award-winning Elvis tribute artists Shawn Klush and Cody Ray Slaughter will treat the audience to a first-class tribute to the King of Rock and Roll! Both Klush and Slaughter have won first place in the annual Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest at Graceland. Additionally, Slaughter played “Elvis” in the Tony Award Tony Award-winning musical Million Dollar Quartet. Click here to watch videos of their performance at last year’s Williamson County Fair.

Nicole C. Mullen
Wednesday, August 10 [time and location TBD]
Nicole is a singer/songwriter whose talent has had a widespread impact on the Christian music industry. Mullen is a two-time Grammy® Award nominee and the recipient of seven Gospel Music Association Dove Awards. Her most popular hits include “Redeemer,” “On My Knees” and “Call on Jesus.”

Leanne Morgan
Thursday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m. (Vanderbilt Health Main Stage)
Leanne is a picture of southern charm with a hilarious outlook on everyday suburban life. She will have you laughing at stories about keeping her husband happy while juggling kids, dogs and cheerleading camp at the same time she’s racing to get her hair highlighted, have a colonoscopy and join weight watchers for the 7th time! Genevieve Allen
Thursday, August 11 at 8:00 p.m. (Vanderbilt Health Main Stage)
Born on a family farm in southern Texas, Genevieve has been in love with country music ever since she heard her first George Strait song on the radio. She describes her unique sound as “Nash-Tex,” combining the traditional country of Nashville with the undeniably Texan feel of cowboys and wide open spaces.
