Crowd Gathers for Solidarity Rally in Downtown Franklin

On Monday afternoon a small crowd gathered, despite the rain, for a vigil for the woman who lost her life in Charlotteville, Virginia this weekend and the many who were injured.  A vigil had taken place on Sunday night in Murfreesboro.

The vigil was to be held on the square, but participants had to take cover under the porch of the old courthouse next to Mellow Mushroom until the rain subsided. Then the group moved to the center of Public Square.

Several in attendance at the peaceful gathering held signs saying, “More Love,” and “Stop the Hate.”

The vigil was announced on the Facebook page Indvisible TN 7. To learn more about local events, visit Indivisible TN 7’s Facebook page.
