The Brentwood Lady Bruins softball team won their second game in as many tries Thursday, besting Ravenwood 13-5 in a District 11-AAA contest.

Brentwood used a seven-run first inning and then scored six times in the sixth inning to put the game away.

Hannah Koenig was the winning pitcher for the Lady Bruins, allowing eight hits and striking out nine Lady Raptor hitters in the contest.

Brentwood High coach Erica Powell told the Williamson Herald in a report that it was only the Lady Bruins’ second victory against Ravenwood since 2009, calling Thursday’s win “a big deal to us.”

The Lady Raptors, who were playing their first game of the season, fell to 0-1.
