Snowfall From Jonas Close to Yearly Average Totals

So Winter Storm Jonas was kinder to us than our friends up north, but hey, this is still a lot of snow and a long list of businesses are closed.

It is, in fact, the biggest snowfall since 1998 and already most places have more snow than they average in a year.

Nashville and the surrounding areas average about 6 inches of snowfall per year, according to Weather Underground.

Most areas around Williamson County beat that or almost matched it in the last two days.

Spring Hill, and the surrounding area, got between 2 to 4 inches.

Fairview is reported as having more than 8 inches, with the surrounding area directly south getting a little less and . The total snow depth for the surrounding area is between 8 to 12 inches.

Franklin is close to the line between 2-4  inches and 4-8. The farther north you are, the more snow you got, most likely.

The Nolensville area got between 2-4 inches, closer to 4.

Brentwood got 5.5 inches

Nashville got a whopping 8 inches.

The highest accumulation in Tennessee is in Jamestown with 14 inches.

Nationally, Jonas has dumped as much as 34 inches in some places, and it is still snowing across the northeast.

In Tunnelton, West Virginia, 34 inches have fallen. In and around Washington, D.C. as much as 30 inches have accumulated. New York is at 12 inches.

South-central Pennsylvania got up to 30 inches.

Northern Mississippi and Alabama have reports of up to 3.5 inches. Live Weather Radar
