Simply Check-In to Provide Vitamins for Children

The Village Church has  partnered with an organization called Reach by Causely.  And every month they provide The Village Church with an opportunity to support a new charity through Facebook check- ins.

“As a new church, it’s a way for us to be missional from the very beginning, which is a big part of who we are as The Village. Last month we provided 412 days of school for an organization called BuildOn, and in January before we provided 32 pieces of clothing through Soles4Soles. The idea is that at every Village gathering folks are checking to support the cause that month,” said Heather Dubuque.

This month’s charity is Children’s Health Fund, which provides care for people in medical “deserts” where there aren’t doctors’ offices or where a lack of insurance or transportation makes it too difficult to access health care.

For more than 25 years, Children’s Health Fund has been providing low-income children across the country with access to high-quality health care. They treat children  on their mobile medical clinics. Children’s Health Fund sees  children with preventable, treatable and/or manageable health conditions that have been holding them back in school – from undiagnosed vision problems to untreated asthma.

The Village is a brand new United Methodist Church in the Lenox Village/Nolensville area that began weekly worship gatherings in January 2016. Meeting at 10am on Sundays at Sunset Middle School (200 Sunset Trail.) At The Village, they believe that everybody needs a village, a place where you can belong and grow to become all you were created to be. They desire to serve and love their neighbors and community, and hope to see you soon. Follow The Village Church on Facebook for the latest updates.
