Show Hope is Gearing up for 2013

Show Hope is a non-profit organization who enables individuals and communities to change the world for orphans. They provide food, shelter, care and spiritual nourishment while addressing the need for finding permanent families. Adoption aid grants and life-saving medical care for orphans with special needs are part of how they help.

To date they have helped 3,500 children find forever families through adoption aid grants. Show Hope announced their 10,000 Campaign earlier this year and hopes to obtain 10,000 sponsors in 2013. That will double their current number and allow them to better serve the millions of waiting children around the world.

This year also saw the kick-off of their Red Bus Project. The initiative is designed to engage college students and raise awareness to the growing need of adoption for orphaned children. The bus is a British double-decker that has been transformed into a mobile thrift store. It rolled through 43 campuses in 2012, raised more than $35,000 and engaged 126,000 college students. The project offers campus groups, events and training seminars designed to provide students with a deeper interest and specific burden in helping shed light on the orphan crisis.

Show Hope is a local organization that will celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2013. A special celebration will be held over Memorial Day Weekend and they encourage everyone to get involved this year. Find out more at www.showhope.org.
