The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office seized more than a million dollars worth of crystal methamphetamine during a traffic stop over the weekend.
Late Friday night, WCSO deputies pulled over a 2000 Ford F250 pickup truck driven by Francisco Luna, 21, of Edinburg, Texas after he failed to maintain his lane of travel on I-65 N near the Franklin exit.
After the stop K9 Ammo gave deputies a positive alert on the presence of narcotics in the bed of the truck. Deputies found 20 rolls of industrial shrink wrap with crystal methamphetamine hidden in each tube. The street value is estimated to be $1.2 million.
Francisco Luna is charged with manufacture/distribution of schedule II drugs, introduction of contraband into a penal facility and failure to maintain lane of travel. His bond is $800,000. He’s scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on March 30, 2017 at 1 p.m.
