Franklin Police, working with Federal authorities, identified a resident who had failed to register as a sex offender following his 2009 conviction in a child sex case out of Madison County, Alabama. Detectives determined that 52-year-old Vittorio Villella had been living in Franklin for more than eight years, intentionally avoiding his requirement to register.
Villella was arrested on February 17, charged with Violation of the Sex Offender Registry. He is free on the $40,000 bond set by the Magistrate and due in court 03/02/2017 at 1:00 pm.
