Police in Franklin are confirming numerous reports of damage in Franklin after a severe storm rolled through parts of Williamson County early Thursday evening. Trained weather spotters reported a funnel cloud near Jim Warren Park to Williamson Source Chief Meteorologist, Dan Holiday, and both wind and hail damage has been reported in isolated areas of Franklin. The National Weather Service has not confirmed a tornado despite several reported sightings, but high winds flipped cars and downed trees in and around the area of Jim Warren Park on the West side of Franklin, and on West Main Street.
