Severe Thunderstorms Very Likely, Hail Possible Through This Evening

The National Weather Service is calling for potentially severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon and evening for the Williamson County area.

This Afternoon: 80% chance of rain, potential for hail and wind.

Showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds. High near 75. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tonight: 90% chance of rain, potential for hail.

Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 a.m. Some storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds. Low around 59. South wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.

The most severe weather will be to the west of us. NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 8 p.m. CDT for parts of northern Mississippi, western Tennessee, western Kentucky and adjacent parts of northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri. This watch area includes Paducah, Kentucky, Memphis, Tennessee and Tupelo, Mississippi.
