The 75th Iroquois Steeplechase brings our area together for a day of horse racing,hats,and to benefit the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital.
And to much surprise of the attendees,the weather was much cooler than it has been in year’s past. Experiencing a spring winter referred to as “cotton britches winter” we saw men comfortably wearing sport coats and more women opting to wear pants than sundresses. But if they went with their original plan of a sundress,there were plenty of coats and sweaters.

With two horses from Ireland,it was an exciting day for horse racing at Steeplechase. Even the littlest fans got to race their own horses.
