Second Annual O’More Show House Event Begins This Weekend

Dozier House, Franklin

The Second Annual O’More Alumni Show House event begins this Friday, April 4th.

Presented by Traditional Home Magazine, the Show House features 22 graduates of O’More College of Design in Franklin, each assigned a space within a 6,000 square-foot ca 1904 Queen Anne Victorian home on West Main Street.

Known as The Dozier Home, it is listed on the National Register historic district. For the last 50 years, it was used commercially and has sat vacant for the last 10 years. Now it’s coming back to life as a high-style residence.

“It’s such a wonderful representation of the impact of interior design on a structure, and a showcase of the kind of graduates that O’More produces,” said JoAnn Haynes, an award winning designer who launched the concept last year and has returned to lead the 2014 project.

Thrive Homes led the construction process of The Dozier Home, working on restoring the home back to its original splendor since last July.  Other product sponsors include Electrolux, Kohler, Sherwin-Williams Paints, Cambria, Circa Lighting, Mid-South Custom Cabinets, Bevolo and Sunbrella Home.

Last year, the O’More Show House event was a huge success, drawing thousands to a beautiful home on Berry Circle off Lewisburg Pike. The 2nd annual O’More Alumni Show House will be open from April 4-27, from 10am to 4pm Tuesday through Sunday, until 7pm on Thursdays and closed for private events on Mondays.

A preview party will take place on Thursday, April 3. For more information about ticket purchases, visit www.omoreshowhouse.com
