Second Annual Franklin Hot Air Balloon Festival Takes Place Saturday

Franklin Hot Air Balloon Festival

The second annual Franklin Hot Air Balloon Festival has announced July 29th as the make-up date, from the rain out of the originally scheduled event in May. Festivities will kick off at 4:00 pm.

This year’s event will feature VIP access, a kid’s zone, live music, craft vendors, Nashville area food trucks, all culminating with a hot air balloon glow at dusk by Westhaven’s community lake.

Tickets purchased back in May will be honored on the July 29th date. VIP tickets are still available for $50 and include exclusive covered seating, two beer tickets, along with commemorative event t-shirt. General admission tickets are also still available for $15. Ticket sales will be limited a total of 5,000 attendees, so few tickets remain. Free parking is available, and guests will be directed within the community upon arrival. Chairs, blankets and pets are welcome, along with a limited number of tethered rides and balloon walk-thru’s will be available, weather permitting at this rain or shine event.

The event will showcase some of Nashville’s local music featuring The Flat River Band, Brian Richey, Tim Carroll and Mac Leaphart.
