SEC: Volunteers to the semi-finals

It’s late but all of the games are finished tonight in the SEC and the field is set for tomorrow’s semi-final games as the quarterfinals went straight chalk.

Missouri was within two points of Florida at the under 12 timeout, but that is when the Gators took full control. They went on to win 72-49.

Tennessee also didn’t have much trouble in their quart final match-up. They made easy work of the Gamecocks, who were playing their third game in three days.  Vols win 59-44.

The Big Blue faithful had been in attendance since Wednesday and tonight they finally got to see their Cats play. LSU did cut the lead to three at 52-49 but other than that this game was never really in jeopardy for Kentucky. Maybe the special “tweak” might have Kentucky playing well after all.

The Wildcats will be playing Georgia as they snuck by Ole Miss in a thriller. A big bucket by Charles Mann with 17 seconds countered a go ahead bucket my Ole Miss’ Jarvis Summers. Summers finished with 26 points but his potential game winning three went off the mark, sending Ole Miss home and Georgia to the semi finals of the SEC Tournament.

Tomorrow’s schedule:

Tennessee vs Florida Noon CT on ABC

Kentucky vs Georgia 2:00 CT on ABC
