On Wednesday, June 22, Scout’s Pub will open the doors to its new Franklin modern pub concept, located in the Westhaven community. Billed as a “soft launch” to help train associates from June 22 through June 26, Scout’s Pub will serve burgers, brews and other items from its well-rounded menu as it gears up for its public grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, June 27, at 1:30 p.m.

Scout's Pub logoThe newest addition to A. Marshall Family Foods–the organization behind seven family-owned restaurant and hospitality businesses, including Puckett’s Gro., Puckett’s Boat House and Homestead Manor--Scout’s Pub will feature craft beer and Southern takes on traditional pub offerings, as well as elevated versions of the comfort food that A. Marshall is known for.

“Throughout this process we have looked to Westhaven’s sense of community, and how we can carry that neighborly vibe to offer something unique to all of Franklin,” said Andy Marshall, proprietor of A. Marshall Family Foods. “We are serving tight-knit neighborhoods that place value on shared experiences with friends and family, and I think they’ll see our commitment to that, too, through the restaurant’s mission and what we bring to the table at Scout’s Pub.”

Named after Marshall’s family dog, Scout’s Pub provides a sought-after gathering spot for the many neighborhoods in the vicinity. Its casual atmosphere, numerous TVs, eclectic interior design–styled by Kim Leggett of local antique shop, City Farmhouse– 1,250-square-foot patio, and fun, fresh menu are each part of creating a great destination to watch the big game, meet for lunch or happy hour, or dine as a family.

“Both European gastropubs and Southern culture gravitate toward hearty cuisine made with seasonal ingredients, and that’s what we want to do here,” said Keith West, head chef at Scout’s Pub. “Our menu offers a good mix of basics and traditional favorites, while also adding a modern flair that’s unexpected.”

“We were very deliberate in tailoring the menu to provide something for everyone while still creating an experience that blends hospitality and Southern fare with a twist,” Marshall said. “Now it’s time to share that with the community and we couldn’t be more excited about it.”

Scout’s Pub will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition, the eatery will serve brunch each Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. through 2 p.m., with drink specials and an array of breakfast favorites.
