Scott Hamilton Shares Memories of His Mother on Mother’s Day

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Scott Hamilton’s mother’s death. To honor her this year, Hamilton created a video with Spirituality in Sports.

In the video, Hamilton talks about how his mother always supported him throughout his career often sacrificing to ensure that he could continue to skate.

Hamilton was diagnosed with a third brain tumor last year and recently revealed to People magazine that without treatment, the tumor has shrunk.

He told People he was the recipient of a miracle. The Williamson County resident and Gold Medalist was previously diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1997 then diagnosed with two benign tumors in 2004 and 2010.

Hamilton and his wife Tracie have four children, two biological and two adopted from Haiti -Jean Paul, 15, Aidan, 13, Evelyne, 13, and Maxx, 8.
