Upcoming Zoning Meetings
Williamson County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney will host two public meetings to share zoning information for Mill Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Middle and Nolensville High schools.

The first meeting will be held Thursday, April 10 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the auditorium of Nolensville Town Hall. The second meeting will be held Thursday, April 10 from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of Sunset Middle School.The meetings will begin with a presentation of the zoning plans following by a questions and answer session.

The zoning proposals can be found on the WCS website, www.wcs.edu,  beginning April 8 after 9 a.m.

Sunset Middle
The Sunset Sabers Varsity Lacrosse team fought hard against cross town rivals Woodland on Monday night.  The Sabers were able to keep the game close, but Woodland pulled it out in the end. Nic Boone led the Sabers with 4 goals.  Jack McDowell scored 3 while Drew McCafferty and Clifton Rains rounded out the scoring with one a piece. The defense fought hard against the aggressive Warriors and Saber goalie Jeremy McConnell was able to block many shots on goal.The Sabers will meet the Warriors for a rematch on May 3^rd for the final game of the season.

Woodland Middle
Mathletes
Mathletes competed in the 4^th Annual Math Olympiad.  The results were:  1st— Stacey Xiang, Vamsi Konjeti, Stewart Moore, Heeju Kim, and Natalie Joseph; 2nd—Omar Awan, Matthew Conley, Gamie Gim, and Sithara Samudrala and 3rd— Kaitlyn Mi, Zoe Rozine and Nilai Sheth.  Mathletes also competed in Round 2 of the Rocket City Math League.  Receiving first place in the following catagories were: Explorers (Pre-Algebra) Heeju Kim; Mercury (Algebra) Omar Awan, Gemini (Geometry) Stacey Xiang and Apollo (Algebra 2) Vamsi Konjeti.

Lacrosse News
The Woodland Warrior Girls Lacrosse Team scored a big win against their cross-town rival, Brentwood Middle School. Varsity won 15-3 and JV also won 15-3. Scoring on goal for the Warriors were Megan Wang and Grace Sherlog with 3 goals, Lindsay Flinn, Lauren Elliott and Hannah Lee Keller with 2, and Claire Fallon, Katie Bendrick and Alex Bristow all with 1 goal! The offense worked the ball around and set up great plays. Leading in assists were Grace Sherlog with 4, Hannah Lee Keller 3 and Lauren Elliott and Katie Goslak with 2. The defense was on fire with 15 caused turnovers and 46 ground balls. Claire Fallon, Grace Sherlog, Katie Bendrick and Mack Strobel all led the defensive efforts with 3 caused turnovers each! Groundball standouts were Hannah Lee Keller with 8, Katie Bendrick 7, and Lauren Elliott 6.  Kelsie Chisholm held off BMS in the goal with 4 saves.

The boys lacrosse team won 10-9 recently and sent the Saints marching back home to Memphis. The 6^th and 7^th grade Lacrosse boys also took on the Memphis Saints. The game ended in a tie, 5-5, with goals scored by Jack Gallagher, Chris Cassin, Nolan McGinnity, Blake Szenegeto, and Cesar Medina.  Goalie Chris Dudas had 5 saves.

Summit High
Victoria Hawkins is the 2014-2015 Ned McWherter Scholarship recipient!

Even though all applicants were outstanding, funding only allowed for the awarding of 51 new recipients from the over 1300 applications that were received this year.

Ravenwood High 
Ravenwood HOSA Club (pictured at the top of this post) had a successful conference at the State Competition these past three days at Opryland. Thirty-five students competed in many health care events with students from all over Tennessee. The competition was incredible this year so please congratulate the following students for placing in the top five in their competitions at State Conference:

Congratulations to Rex Shotts who became Ravenwood’s first wrestling All American this past weekend at the NHSCA Senior Nationals.  Rex placed 8^th in the nation in his weight class, qualifying him for this honor.  Josh Peck coaches the RHS wrestling team.

Tennis News
The varsity girls tennis team won the first division match of the season over Father Ryan last week. Mackenzie Phillips, dominated her singles match and her doubles match with her partner, Sarah Beth Sheets, 8-0. Brittany Hamrin and Sarah Beth Sheets had wins with their singles matches, and Claire DeLozier and Abby Sartin pulled out a win in their doubles match.

The team is lead by the co-leadership of senior Madison Sartin and junior Mackenzie Phillips. Six freshman join the varsity team this year: Claire DeLozier, Abby Sartin, Makayla James, Ali Adams, Hanne Kyzer, and Tate Wolf. Returning members are Madison Sartin, Mackenzie Phillips, Brittany Hamrin, and Sarah Beth Sheets.

Father Ryan
Each year, Father Ryan invites students to spend their Spring Break volunteering in the community. A group of students and faculty traveled and spent the week giving their time and skills to the community outside Charleston, SC, where students performed service at the Mepkin Abbey Monastery
