Congratulations to the 12 O’More College of Design Summer Studio Scholarship winners. Among the winners was Alyssa LaRocca, a rising senior at Independence High School in Thompson’s Station chosen by a panel of judges to receive a full scholarship to the College’s annual art camp. Students submitted two original art pieces for evaluation and recomendations by their school art teachers.

“The opportunity to attend this program means so much to me,” LaRocca said. “I love design and the freedom that comes with it. I’m excited to receive direction from the teachers and other students, and to share what I know as well.” The sessions are geared to inspire creativity and appreciation of the arts. Courses range from fashion to architectural design. The Summer Studio Gallery event in the Abbey Leix Mansion on the college campus will allow students a showcase for their work.

Sessions run from late June through July and registration is ongoing.
