Scene Around Town: WCS Infothon Enjoyed by Students and Families

Williamson County Schools held their second annual “Infothon” to welcome students and families back to school on Saturday, July 25. This family fun event offered valuable information about each school in the county and showcased some of the amazing students from their respective schools.

Representing the arts in our schools were many performers who sang, played musical instruments, including a showcase of the strings program offered at a high school and middle school. Impressive booths with hands on interaction for students was showcased throughout the entire event.

Carol Birdsong, Director of Communications cannot express enough how excited she is about the Infothon. A lot of work went into the event to make students and families excited to be heading back to school. At the media briefing where Dr. Looney shared his thoughts on staying with the district, he too was wanting to put the focus back on the students and reminded the media about the Infothon.
