The Nashville Wine Auction partnered with Forgotten Man Films and SOMM star Dustin Wilson, MS (Master Sommelier), to host the premiere of SOMM 3 at the Franklin Theatre.

SOMM 3 continues the fascinating look into the world of wine which started in the iconic 2013 film SOMM. It also explores the industry’s celebrated professionals…the sommeliers. Nashville is one of only three cities with which Wilson worked with to host this movie premiere, another indication of the national recognition of the flourishing Nashville wine and food scene (the other two cities are New York City and San Francisco).

Proceeds from ticket sales of the event benefited the Nashville Wine Auction, which raises money throughout the year for local cancer-fighting organizations by hosting wine-centered fundraising events.

SOMM 3 is the third film in the SOMM series and follows the influential films SOMM and its sequel SOMM: Into the Bottle. Like the previous two films, SOMM 3 has unprecedented access to the highest levels of the wine world.

Three sommeliers featured in SOMM 3 were in attendance at the movie premiere: Dustin Wilson, MS (who is in all three SOMM movies), Michael Engelmann, MS, and Sabato Sagaria, MS. Also attending the Nashville-area premiere was the movie’s producer, Jackson Myers, and writer/producer Christina Wise.

The co-chairs of this unique event were Tiffany King, Timothy Kirch, Chris Otillio and Shane Bailey.  All four co-chairs are alumni of the Young Leaders Council (YLC) and have served on the Nashville Wine Auction Board.
