On Saturday & Sunday, the Westhaven Lake became a showcase featuring four pro water ski riders who performed stunts that you shouldn’t try on your next lake outing. Evan Krefski, Jason Stoyer, Chris Langlais, and Ryan Dobertein traveled to Franklin to perform their best tricks and stunts for the Franklin community.
We spoke briefly with Langlais who just turned pro last year. He competed in the world competition last year where he earned 6th place. We learned that Langlais’ jet ski is custom designed and not like anything you might see at the beach.
Langlais can do fourteen flips in a row, the typical stunt rider does two to three at the most.
Interesting fact about the riders, they all wear baseball cleats while riding as it helps to grip the surface of the jet ski. Take a look at our video and a few photos where the fans met the riders.
